Hidalgo Sales Consulting’s mission is to help companies access global markets and become more competitive through better strategic sales processes and international business practices.
Hidalgo Sales Consulting was founded in 2007 by Juan Felipe González, a seasoned telecommunications veteran. He was Sr. Vice-President Sales and Marketing for Aethera Networks in 2007. Previously, he was Vice-President, Global Telecom Sales for EXFO from 2003 to 2007. Mr. González spent 15 years at EXFO, during which he was responsible for managing telecom sales, both direct and indirect, and the execution of sales strategies worldwide. He managed a team of 80 employees and over 70 distributors. As a member of the Strategy and Management Committees, he also collaborated to the development of the company’s corporate strategy.
Prior to his appointment as Vice-President, Global Telecom Sales, Mr. González held the position of Vice-President International Sales from 1998 to 2003; International Sales Director from 1997 to 1998; and Sales Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean from 1993 to 1997.
Before joining EXFO, Mr. González was employed as Sales and Marketing Director by various organizations located in Spain including Reyde, S.A.-Grupo Armando Alvarez, Barcelona from May 1988 to October 1992; Dow Chemical, S.A., Madrid from June to November 1987; and Hucoa-Erloss, S.A., Madrid from May to November 1986.
| Juan Felipe González holds a B.Sc., honors in chemistry, from Complutense University, Madrid, Spain, and an MBA from the School of Industrial Organization, Madrid, Spain. He has also completed executive programs from Harvard Business School in Boston, York University in Toronto, and McGill University in Montreal. Mr. González is fluent in four languages and is a member of several organizations; namely, the Telecommunications Executive Management Institute of Canada, the Association of MBAs of Quebec and the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering. | ![]() |
